If you want to learn English in one of the most historically-significant cities in history, then look no further than an English school in Southampton. Home of the Spitfire plan that won the Battle of Britain, the port from which the Titanic sailed, the city from which the Mayflower left before it went to Plymouth, Southampton is one of the most vibrant cities in England, not only because of its strong student population, but also due to being one of the most important ports in the land and the home of cruise lines that bring in a never-ending, ever-shifting variety of tourists that help keep the city lively. Rich in history, Southampton offers much to explore once your classes are over – lots of museums, a visit to the longest stretch of surviving medieval wall in England, innovative art galleries, theatre, music performances in all styles. There's also football, hockey, rugby and cricket to be seen, and many other opportunities to keep yourself in shape – Southampton was named ‘fittest city in the UK' in 2006. If you feel like a calmer sort of after-school activity, consider taking a walk in the New Forest (which is pretty old now) where you're almost certain to come across the famous Forest ponies that run free there most of the year and aren't shy of coming up very close to strangers. And if you feel like rewarding yourself once you've completed your language training, you'll be in the right place – when your English courses in Southampton are done, you can just book yourself a ticket on one of the cruise and go wander the world in style.

Our flexible Academic Year Programme allows you to choose from our range of courses and create your own programme of study. This can include a mixture of General, Business and Academic English.
General English Main Course covers all skills and are well balanced between, speaking, reading, writing, listening, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Topics are based on a course book and each week is a different topic.
General English in the morning covers all skills and are well balanced between, speaking, reading, writing, listening, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. The afternoon course includes Communication Skills, which gives you the opportunity to practise your speaking and listening, which will build your confidence in English.
Individual one-to-one classes focus exactly on your learner needs. In these classes, you have the teacher’s full attention and you can work on your specific needs or goals.
Our Communication Skills class gives you extra practice in speaking, listening and vocabulary. The lessons are designed to be enjoyable, useful and to build your communicative confidence.
A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn.
You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.

Apply what you have learnt during your lessons, practice your language skills through varied activities such as cooking, mini-golf, shopping, bowling, cinema, board games, sightseeing, etc….with your host.
It is the most effective way to make rapid progress: you live with your teacher who will give you private language lessons and correct you at all times spent with them. It completely immerses you in the language you are learning as you put into practice what you have learnt during your lessons through social interactions and meal time with your host.
