The town of Tunbridge Wells is located 33 miles southeast of central London, in west Kent. The town was originally a spa in Georgian times. Today the town still provides a great getaway for its visitors. Students enrolled in English school in Tunbridge Wells will enjoy exploring the town and all that it has to offer. Tunbridge Wells is surrounded by a number of historical sites and castles in Kent. Hever Castle, just 8 miles away, was Anne Boleyn’s childhood home. Penshurst Place, a medieval manor house, is known for its beautiful gardens. A trip to Chartwell is a trip to Winston Churchill’s country home, which is filled with memorabilia from his life. Students taking English courses in Tunbridge Wells should explore the area on foot, taking advantage of the many walking paths throughout the area. A trip to Bewl Water near Lamberhurst allows visitors to participate in fly fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and cycling. Nearby Bedgebury is a beautiful place to explore via cycling, mountain biking, or on horseback. For those who love to shop, Tunbridge Wells is a great place to be. You study 20 lessons every week following BLC’s curriculum of focused language training. A great choice if you want to have free time in the afternoon to enjoy your time in Brighton, see the sights or socialise with your new friends from BLC.
An intensive course incorporating dedicated speaking and listening modules throughout the week to build
