Going to an English school in Cambridge means being in a university town, well known for its many students and great academic institutions. It is north of London and an easily accessible city, especially by rail. If you plan to study English courses in Cambridge you will find that the city is very welcoming to international students. In order to better familiarize yourself with the city, you could even plan to take a trip on a sightseeing bus where you can learn about the city in several different languages (although you might want to try and listen in English). Another way to get to know Cambridge, is to tour some of the many colleges, since these are a very essential aspect of the city. Perhaps the most famous piece of architecture in the city is located on the campus of King's College, where you can find the majestic King's College Chapel. Its late Gothic architecture can be seen from locations throughout the city. Students can enjoy many festivals in Cambridge and Shakespearean plays are staged outdoors at the various colleges in Cambridge throughout the summer.
