General English courses at ETC each follow a syllabus which is primarily designed to develop the four skills of speaking, writing, reading and listening, and to increase your awareness of how English works. You will also learn and revise new vocabulary, improve your pronunciation and polish your English grammar.

A broad General English course which is specifically designed to improve your overall language skills across the 4 key areas — reading, writing, listening, speaking — whilst leaving plenty of free time to enjoy your time outside of class. You’ll gain confidence through total immersion in English Structure: - 20 lessons (15 hours) per week, usually taking place every morning from Monday to Friday.

You will study all four skills - speaking, listening, writing and reading using a variety of course books, authentic materials and the Internet. We aim to improve students' accuracy, fluency and confidence in expressing themselves in English.

We offer General English classes at all levels; we use a Communicative Approach to our lessons, which means that students should be actively involved and are encouraged to join in as much as possible, in English of course. General English is perhaps the most flexible way of learning the language; there is something for everyone.
