Florence is the capital of the Tuscany region of Italy. It is a city filled with a rich cultural, historical, and architectural past with plenty of modern day activities for students and travelers to enjoy as well. It was the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and many of Florence's great minds also aided in fueling the "Age of Discovery". Originally established by Julius Caesar, Florence dates back to 59 BC. Students who plan to study Italian courses in Florence should not miss the opportunity to view the city's best kept works of art and architecture; they can visit the magnificent Il Duomo Cathedral (officially known as Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore), stroll through the many piazzas, parks, and gardens, or visit one of the many small villages of the city, with their individual flare and flavors. Florence is such a magnificent and historically rich city, that it attracts millions of visitors every year and has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1982.

The Italian Language Courses 4 lessons a day, five days a week, Monday through Friday. A complete course which includes the study and deepening of every aspect of the Italian language.
Two hours a day to choose between grammar lessons from 9:00 to 10:50, conversation lessons from 11:10 to 13:00, or lessons in the afternoon from 14:00 to 15:50.

Our Super Intensive Group Course consists of: 4 lessons of Intensive Italian Language Course + 2 extra group lessons a day, for a total of 30 lessons per week. In the extra sessions students have the opportunity to increase their knowledge with practice in speaking and conversing in three levels of ability: beginner, intermediate and advanced.
For students over 50 who want to study Italian and learn more about Italian and Florentine culture, the ABC School offers 1 or 2 week-programs.
