WIE's General English course is a practical course that focuses on improving the communication skills required for everyday interactions. You will make fast progress in fluency, listening, reading, writing, pronunciation and vocabulary.

Our General English evening class is a part-time class that takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, 6-7:30 pm. It is available for all English levels and is particularly ideal for students who are working during the day.

A typical day is 3 hours of English tuition in the morning. The classes are small and very interactive.

A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn. You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.

The General English course is for students at any English levels who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. Afternoon lessons concentrate on spoken skills, conversation and discussion activities.

A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn. You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.

The General English course is for students at any English levels who want to maximize their language learning practice during their stay. Morning lessons concentrate on grammatical correctness, vocabulary, speaking and listening skills as well as reading and writing.

For the students who would like to take Private Lessons. NZ$105/hour * Students cannot take only Private Lessons.

It is the most effective way to make rapid progress: you live with your teacher who will give you private language lessons and correct you at all times spent with them. It completely immerses you in the language you are learning as you put into practice what you have learnt during your lessons through social interactions and meal time with your host.
