Coeur de France Ecole de Langues is a private language school owned and operated by Marianne and Gérard Chartrand. Since they founded Coeur de France in 1996, thousands of students from around the world have come to our school in beautiful Sancerre for the same reason: to obtain the highest quality, professional and personalized French language instruction while discovering French culture. Doing so in a beautiful, friendly environment is certainly a plus! Helping others discover French language and culture through personally experiencing an authentic French way of life is our goal. We remain committed to the belief that learning is a lifelong process that should be thoroughly enjoyable!

School location

Coeur de France French school is located in the vineyards of Sancerre, in the Loire Valley’s wine country, only 2 hours south of Paris. The winding medieval streets and charming homes of our hilltop town have a fairy tale quality — and in the heart of it all sits the 16th century La Thaumassière château, home of Coeur de France Ecole de Langues.

Easily accessible by car or train, we are geographically in the center of France surrounded by vineyards, cathedrals and chateaux.
