Thousands of students come to California every year to study English, but very few discover an authentic experience. California Language Academy was founded on the idea that language is living and vibrant. It must be experienced in order to be fully appreciated and understood. We believe that learning a language is achieved through hands-on, real world practice.
At California Language Academy, we are passionate about getting to know each person who walks through our doors and we go out of our way to create a warm and personalized classroom experience. That’s what makes us different! Students can also enjoy engaging in after-school activities to ensure that they continue learning and applying their skills.
We are an intimate, student-focused, ACCET-accredited, SEVP approved language school with two Southern California locations. The surrounding area is home to wonderful neighborhoods
and we take great care to select only the most caring homestay families so that each student
s fully immersed and benefifits from a genuine community. We look forward to personally welcoming you to our fun and unique California Language Academy family!
The nationality and age mix at California Language Academy varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 25. In the summer, the average age is 11.

I wanted a course to improve my business English, the school gave me only general English classes. It's a very small school with only two classes, so I had to stay with students under my level. For this reason I believe this school was not able to help me to improve my skills at the English language.

We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying full time in the United States for more than 18 hours per week, you will receive an I-20 that you need to submit to the US embassy along with your F-1 student visa application. The I-20 has a SEVIS tracking number on it. Students who wish to apply for a student visa must pay the SEVIS fee online before going to the US embassy or consulate for their visa interview.
Your I-20 will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
Please note that United States law states that an I-20 can only be issued to students who intend to pursue full-time English language studies. United States law does not permit students to study part-time with an F-1 Student Visa. If you are studying for less than 18 hours per week, you have to apply for a Visitor Visa (B1/B2) on your own.
Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to San Diego based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
