Imagine yourself at the top of the Eiffel Tower, or discovering the city from the bridge of a river boat. Sit down for a 3D projection which is even better than the real thing at the geode of the Museum of Science, pose beside the wax statue of Zinadine Zidane, stroll along the lively small streets of the Quartier Latin, applaud the Beaubourg street artists or admire the splendours of the Palace of Versailles and tell yourself you're not dreaming. Our destination of Paris-Igny promises you all this and much more besides.
A charming small town to the south-west of the Parisian belt, nicknamed the garden town, Igny is an oasis of fresh air and greenery barely 25 minutes from the heart of the capital by RER (train).
This favorable location allows us to offer as extraordinary a destination as Paris in full security and to combine language classes, sports and residence accommodation in a magnificent environment with the discovery of all the marvels of the city of lights.
The nationality and age mix at ALPADIA Paris-Igny (Juniors) varies over different time periods, courses and levels.
ALPADIA does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
Magnificently set in a five-hectare park, our “Saint Nicolas” course centre is located just a 40-minute commute to the centre of the capital.
It offers modern and pleasant classrooms for language classes and first-class facilities for sports and cultural activities. Offering computer labs, multimedia rooms, sports halls and relaxation areas with various games, everything is designed for the convenience of the participants. The lovely green park is the ideal place to recharge your batteries in complete serenity or get your heart pumping on the football, basketball and handball pitches or athletics tracks.
The classes weren't bad, mainly because I got a decent teacher, but because we were in a not air conditioned room during a heatwave it was very uncomfortable and hard to pay attention. Also everyone's skill levels were vastly different so I didn't learn as much as some of my peers. The campus isn't great and is quite old, but it does have a lot of green space. The food was so bad I spent 200 euros on food alone in those two weeks. The instructors were really nice, and generally spoke to you in French, except when there were important details, which was good because it helped me with my French while making sure I didn't get lost in the middle of Paris. Also, the camp says Paris, but it's an hour away from Paris so it takes two hours travel every day for the excursions. Overall, it's not terrible, but there could be better camps.
The people were amazing though 10/10 made this camp memorable. Also there are Disney trips each week there's that.
