The teaching was disorganized, and didn’t seem to have a methodology. I didn’t attend the evening activities so I have no opinion on these, but the classes could have had a lesson, then some activities to follow. We were just given worksheets with a brief explanation and then would correct them after. The week project idea was a successful way of making us work together in French. My private lessons were disorganized and I don’t think I benefitted from them, part of the reason why is because I was only there for a week. I was given reading comprehension homework that was beyond my level and ended up doing my own work on my own time to at least learn something. I wanted proper materials like grammar and an aid in writing essays/responses to help me pass my academic French class next year, but instead got pages on Greek and Latin prefixes and suffixes ( I know how to speak Greek anyway lol) and expressions the French use for bread (We live in Quebec) Overall I was displeased with the private lessons purely because I don’t feel that they did anything. The regular lessons could have been fine had they been more organized.
