A nation of breathtaking beauty, Brazil is by far the largest country in South America. Brazil is a country that is almost as diverse in culture as it is in resources. While its central west regions are covered by wetlands and rainforests, its southern regions, including São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, are economic-powerhouses and some of the largest metropolitan areas in the world. Originally colonized by Portugal in the sixteenth century, Brazilians now speak primarily Portuguese and English as their main languages. Finding the right Portuguese courses in Brazil is only a matter of deciding which beautiful area of the country you'd like to explore first. The Brazilian people are generally a very warm and welcoming bunch; they are very proud of their country, and rightfully so: after all, Brazil is home to some of the most beautiful beaches, coasts, and natural areas in the world.
