The Super Intensive Spanish Course consists of 20 hours per week morning group classes and 10 hours private tutoring in the afternoons. Students get the benefits of both group interaction and focus on individual needs, which allows very fast progress in a short amount of time.
Who is this course for?
People who want to learn or improve their Spanish in a short-time.
People who want to fully dedicate their time to learn Spanish.
People who want to be in a group setting but also want to focus on specific needs in one-to-one sessions.
Maximum exposure
By taking six lessons per day students have more time with their teacher, which allows an intensive focus on all key skills. In the morning students take classes in the same groups as described in the Intensive Course. In the afternoon students have two hours of private tutoring where they can consolidate the information learnt in the morning, get more practice and focus on specific needs.
Academic Framework
Our teaching approach is focused on the development of proficiency in the four basic communication skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, while following the structures of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR).
Interactive and enjoyable atmosphere
Our teachers design our classes so that students can simultaneously advance in their language skills and learn interesting information about Argentina, the local culture and customs. Our study materials include textbooks, audio & video and real life sources relevant to student interests. (movies, internet, newspapers). In the afternoon we organize after class activities led by our Spanish Teacher and designed to encourage students to keep practicing Spanish outside the classroom. We schedule the private classes in a way that students can also attend our afternoon after-class activities.

Both me and Paul had a fantastic experience at La Montaña Spanish School. The classes perfectly suited our level of Spanish, it was a class of only 3 of us which meant we got a lot out of it with max participation. The teachers we had were all so friendly, and knowledgable how to help us learn most effectively with a lot of engagement and fun activities. The location was perfect, right in town and we were given plenty of information via WhatsApp before and during our week. There were meet-ups organised out of teaching hours that were a great way to continue socialising and speaking Spanish with others.
The only thing was the miscommunication around the unplanned bank holiday of the elections which meant we were unsure we would receive compensation or the hours missing for that week. We ended up with half the hours we had missed. Overall a great week that was very useful!
There were not any other students at my level that week, so I received 2 hours of private teaching per day instead of 4 hours in a group class but for the same price. This was great and helped me to improve my Spanish a lot in a short time.
Veronica was a great teacher - clear but concise in explanations and pushing you to achieve as much as you can. She is always happy to explain things and encourages any questions you may have.
Our home stay was very close to the school with an amazing host. She was so friendly, a great cook and great for practicing Spanish with in the afternoons and evening.
We only managed to take part in one activity but Eugenia was very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area.
Only negative was that we wanted to extend our home stay, but the cost was very high so we didn’t. The price of the home stay is quite expensive, compared to the cost of what the families actually receive. This put us off staying with a local family, even though we wanted to as most of the cost goes towards the school. Otherwise, overall, a great experience.
The class was located in the center, so it was really convenient in terms of getting to the place and back. My teacher was "Vicky", a lovely young lady, full of energy, super nice and kind, and a very talented teacher. She used body language as she was speaking Spanish, so we could understand what she's saying despite we had no background in Spanish. The people in my class were nice and friendly, and so were the staff of the school. I would 100% recommend for anyone considering taking Spanish classes in Bariloche, as I had a great and a highly effective experience there.

The school experience unfortunately was heavily impacted by Covid, something of course beyond the control of the school.
Most of the time, I was the only student in the class and as such, the format was two hours of private tuition per day rather than four hours in a group setting - more concentrated attention, but less time. Classes also went on-line for a week owing to one teacher and the father of my host family testing positive.
Class excursions were also greatly curtailed, although there were some. Again understandable and not the fault of the school, but it meant the experience wasn't what I had hoped for.
The home stay experience was wonderful. Sharing a bathroom took me back to my childhood days, but wasn't a problem. The family could not have been nicer and more helpful. Mariela had worked in the tourism industry for twenty years and had also hosted many students before, ranging in age from 15 to 75 - so could not have been better. The house was close to the city centre and so walking was no problem - although good exercise, being uphill.
School is good located, teacher Omar very good and can explain grammar good.
