Sir Laurence is located at Lucy Cavendish, one of the Cambridge University colleges, just 10 minutes’ walk from the centre of Cambridge. It is a quiet campus in lovely gardens and with modern architecture and excellent facilities.
We don't accept groups at this camp and have a maximum of 80 students at any time.
The camp includes:
28 lessons of English tuition per weeks
9 activities per week
1 full day excursion per week
Return airport transfers to/from London Heathrow or Stansted airport on Sundays
Placement testing
A full report and certificate at the end of the course
Class details are: 15 hours of lessons per week, 3 hours per day on 5 days, mixed-nationality morning classes, entry test on the first Monday of the course, course materials, an academic report from your teachers at the end of your stay and a certificate of studies at the end of your stay. The activities programme includes: mask party, 5 afternoon sessions of daytime activities per week - approx 2 hours per day on 5 days, welcome orientation of the course centre and city on the first Monday of your course, wide choice of sports, arts & crafts, cultural and language activities, up to 6 activity choices per session, evening activities 7 days a week and easy access to activities office and staff.

Lucy Cavendish College is one of the University's 31 colleges. It is a modern college, with good teaching and social facilities, very high-quality residential accommodation, and excellent food. It is just 10 minutes' walk from the center of Cambridge. We have been running the Sir Laurence summer camp at Lucy Cavendish College every summer since 2009.
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 13 - 16. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about student residence accommodation
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
If you are studying in the UK for over 11 months, you will receive a reference number called a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that you need to submit to the UK embassy along with your General Student Visa application. Students who have successfully booked a language course and have paid their fees will receive a CAS from . Please note that UK law states that a CAS can only be issued to students who intend to pursue English language studies for over 11 months.
If you are studying in the UK for 11 months or less, you have to apply for a special visitor visa called a Student Visitor Visa. As a student visitor, you will not be able to work part-time while studying. If you plan to study in the UK for 11 months or less, a letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you. If you wish to receive your paperwork by express mail, you will be charged £ 30 when you register.
