Language Corner Amsterdam has two locations in Amsterdam: one in Amsterdam Zuid (Rietwijkerstraat 10) and one in West, close to the city center (Frederik Hendrikplantsoen 98).
The school at Rietwijkerstraat is located in Amsterdam Zuid, a great neighborhood with lots of shops, cafes, and restaurants. The great attractions, such as the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum are easily accessible and never further away than 15 minutes by tram or bike.
The school at Frederik Hendrikplantsoen is located on walking distance from the Jordaan neighborhood. This neighborhood is known for its authentic atmosphere and beautiful buildings. It has a great variety of little shops, bars, restaurants, museums. The canals and Anne Frank Museum are on walking distance or can be found in 5 minutes by bike from the school.
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Katie for her patient guidance during the course. I thoroughly enjoyed the lessons, and I have noticed significant improvement in my confidence when speaking English. At first, I was hesitant to engage in conversations, but thanks to Katie’s excellent teaching, I gradually became more comfortable and even eager to share more. Her use of visuals and systematic explanations greatly helped me grasp not only vocabulary and phrases but also grammar. I am truly grateful for her exceptional instruction and would like to thank Language Corner for assigning such a wonderful teacher to me.

The class and course were nice, my teacher's interest in his students was warm and very positive, we were able to communicate with our teacher and other friends very easily, thank you very much for this.
I really liked the school it was modern and Nick our teacher was the best. He had a pretty good course and in my opinion my english evolved a lot. I definitely recommend The Language Corner school and Nick too.

I loved that there was Water,Thee, and coffie for us all and that was gratis....to bad no milk mur i understand why not!
I loved our Teacher Catalina, she was super lovely and motivated and it was in her interest to teach us.
I disliked that we hadent enough time to correct each week our homeworks.
I think ever person in my class received the certificate whitch is good maar i think was ther even a chance i mean the risk of not
reseving the certificate?
To bad ther was no Bar-Evenings in mi Time in School and to bad either the Language-Buddy was not possible.
I think the Location was ok but to far away from central, maar easy to find.
I liked the fact that the teacher put us at ease. I would have liked if we had more time to speak in English under the supervision of the teacher. I would have liked if we could have made presentations to correct our sentence's construction. I would have liked it better if the location was closer to the central.

In this bear I found myself really well, the companions were nice and the teacher really good and nice, she helped me a lot. Unfortunately I was unable to take advantage of the convenience of the school structure but it was interested municipalities.

Show details » Read more...My two week course learning A2 Dutch at Language Corner in Amsterdam has definitely gone beyond my expectations. Fantastic classes mixing the didactic aspect of a course and the fun part of learning a new language. We were a great group of 8 people with a positive and caring teacher called Vivianne, she has been a great teacher in terms of motivating students to learn Dutch, and helping students with their mistakes, always with a smile on her face.
The feedback for tracking the student's language level was great, also they were many interesting activities and we did some exercises both at class and for homework, which were very useful to keep practicing the language. It has been a great course and if I go back to the Netherlands, I will probably come back here to reinforce my dutch.
Ik ben erg blij dat ik de twee weken cursus heb gedaan, het was er fantastisch!

My experience in Language Corner was amazing. I did a lot of new friends, the teachers are very excited and with a lot of knowledge, and Izabel - the manager and communication agent is the best person I met in this period.
Classes had 3 hours per day and was very intensive time. Maybe it was not necessary formal books and homework every day, just because our study time was so short (2 weeks) and talk in English were more important than grammar in that moment. But others activities and meeting was very very nice. I improved my English in 75%, and this is incredible.
The location was perfect too, very easy to find and not so far from the central station. Close to the Vondelpark, so almost everyday me and others students went to the park to lunch and practice our English. And there were coffee, chocolates and candys all day long in the school.
I really loved this moment, and never will forget these 2 weeks. Was amazing talk in English with other students, with different experiences in life, histories, ages and way to think all around the world.
It was a nice experience. I liked so much. But in my opinion the course should have be more enjoyable with games.

Teacher prepared and fun, innovative study method, interesting pub night, school location too peripheral

Great teacher, small and personal group, ok facilities with kitchen to heat food or have some coffee. On hot days the small classrooms got a bit hot since the aircon was only available in the communal area.
Show details » Read more...For me it is very good to spend time in this quiet place and learn from them and the teacher was very wonderful. That's what I liked most, Which I did not like the price of the course was very expensive and short term.
Show details » Read more...Since I started to apply for the course, I had a really good service, they always resolved all my questions and allowed to help me. I really like the teaching method; interactive classes and the teacher used to find creatives ways to teach and at the same time practice speaking, writing, listening and reading, the group was small, so the classes were very practical and dynamic, almost like personalized classes.
The teachers and employees were always allow to help the students, the environment was very friendly, also ideal to improve your knowledge.
As extra activities two days per month they have also meetings in a bar, which everyone can go to practice speaking. Is a really good option due to have fun in a different location and at the same time improve the language.
I really recommend Language Corner to stay English.
