our lessons at school were very intense. in three hours we managed to try many activities: exercises in the textbook, work in pairs, watching videos and educational games. at the same time it was not too difficult. the learning was quite calm. our teacher was very friendly and nice. when she saw that we did not understand something she tried to show us with actions or pictures. before the korean holiday chuseok she treated the whole class with cookies, which was very nice. studying at school was an incredible experience that will be remembered for a long time.

And you cant also contact her after the class if you have question.
Firstly, the location is great because it’s 2 blocks from the subway station and very close to restaurants and cafes. They put me in the right level after taking both verbal and written tests. The teacher was very good with the pace and taught very clearly. She helped us all, understanding where we needed improvements. The classrooms were clean and comfortable. I would take additional classes during my next stay in Korea.
The teacher was very good, as she taught at a good pace. I did wish there was some social activity for those who did not have any family/friends in the area. It would have been nice to get together to practice speaking in a social setting.
In general de experience was pretty good. At first i was a bit scared because its my first time attending to a korean academy and in a country that its not my own. I had read on some reviews that the teachers on this academy dont speak english, and i was wondering how they can teach korean to international students without using english as the common communication language. Actually the teachers know how to speak english, but they will use korean as much as possible because that is part of their teaching strategy, they want you to get used to listen and understand korean, and they will only relay on english to give explanations if needed. I think this system may feel difficult at the beginning but its really effective, but its also true that its not for everyone, maybe casual people who just come to have fun with the classes will find them too complicated. My feeling is that if you come here you should do it to study seriously and not just for fun. Anyways the teachers are really good doing their job and they will help you with everything you need, they are very caring. The facilities of the academy are pretty nice and modern, the location is good and its close to the subway station of Sinsa, and the housing was also really close to the academy and very decent one. Both the academy and the housing were very affordable, probably of the best prices in Seoul. So everything very possitive.
Show details » Read more...The location was in the center, not far from all the main attractions. The accommodation was also very close to the school. The level of the lessons was perfectly chosen and the teacher was really great. I learned a lot in just two months of my stay in Seoul. Housing was as expected, small but tidy room. Sufficient for myself.
All in all, I have no cons to mention on my choice.
What I liked was the really patient and nice teacher. I was struggling a lot with this language but the teacher never gave up on me. Was a fun person and nice to talk with.
That being said, it almost feels bad to write about the negative things, but some things have to be adressed.
1. Even though it was advertised like it is suitable for total beginners, you should not come here with zero korean skills. The teacher spoke only korean. No english! It is very hard to learn a language without any translations for the things you learn. The book wasn't any different. Also only korean no english translations. About half of our class was japanese people who seemd to have it much easier but the others struggled a lot. They said korean is very similar to japanese so it's easy for them but it also turned out that they already had some basic knowledge. If you have that, this school might be very good for you so you should practise a good basic skill already at home.
2. I booked the class with the accommodation. I booked the entire thing and paid everything mid June for the class starting on August 3. and the room starting on August 2. I arrived in Seoul 2 weeks earlier to travel a bit, and on July 28. they told me there is a problem with my room because of a water leak. I understand, that thing like this can happen, but what I really didn't like is how the situation was handled: the office searched for another room for me and they found one that they offered to me. The problem is, they asked for 170€ extra because that room had it's own bathroom. I booked and paid for a set price. I didn't want to pay extra for a problem that is from how i see in their responsibility. However, there were 5 days left until I didn't have a place to sleep anymore in a city on the other side of the world and they said, if I don't accept, they likely can't offer another room in that short amount of time so I had to accept. I asked for a discount since it wasn't my fault, but that was declined aswell. And btw that new room was very small! You can't expect big rooms in this city, but it was even smaller than advertised. It was supposed to have 6-8 m² but in reality it was 5 at best and part of it was a bathroom, so I didn't even have a proper space to put down my suitcase.
My recommandation is clear: Book without accommodation and find one by yourself. Practise korean before you go there. Don't expect a lot of travel time except for the weekends since you'll need to practise hard between the lessons if you have 3 hours every day,
The teacher is patient and has a great methodology of teaching. Classes are enjoyable and full of meaningful content and time to practice conversation which is an important part of learning a language. I wouldn't hesitate to take more courses with them.

The teacher was very kind !
I haven't really heard about the activities offered by the school, but I didn't ask either.
The host family was so kind and generous, it was one of the best experiences of my trip. She was so welcoming and offered lots of things and activities. Thank you for finding me such a beautiful family, I'm sure the next time I come back to South Korea I'll come back to see them !
The school is very close to Sinsa station in Gangnam-gu.
As a beginner in Korean, I appreciated that the basics of reading as well as correct pronunciation were the first lesson. With sustained and positive educational support
I had only taken 2 weeks of lessons.
If I had to come back I would take more in a row to really progress. Especially since Seoul is a very big city, rich in various places to visit. The organization of the lessons leaves free time to enjoy them.
I also appreciated having been so well received when I am much older than the majority of students.
As a result, I did not have recourse to any activities offered because I had my own centers of interest. More related to my age
I enjoyed very much my Korean classes at Easy Korean Academy. The classes were very interesting and I learned the basics of Korean that will help me to continue to learn it. The teacher was just brilliant, very positive and willing to help and explain every time I had questions. I wish I would be able to continue my classes.
Show details » Read more...The classes where very good. I like that the teachers are native Koreans. It would be from benefit though if they could talk English,
so that they can explain questions easily. That doesn't mean that our teacher didn't give her best effort to explain everything!
The location was great, a short walk from Sinsa Station. A convenience store and coffee shops right next to the school too!
We learned the whole Korean alphabet with interactive games and group games.
안녕하세요~^^
Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. I am so happy that you seem to have enjoyed your time at this Easy Korean academy. It was only one week and short, but I hope you have a lot of experience :-) I'm looking forward to seeing you again someday. Take care!!!
The school is truly of a great pedagogical quality. The antional method is used in classrooms and such modernity is rare in Korea. The teaching aids are pedagogically flawless and the teachers are extremely prepared and make pupils progress rapidly and steadily. The groups are small, well balanced as regards the homogeneity of the level and the atmosphere is pleasant. Furthermore, the environment is pleasant and human relationships are truly of great quality. The director is always ready to listen to the students and all the staff are extremely helpful.
If I went back to Korea to take Korean lessons I would definitely enroll in this school.

I studied here for 2 weeks. I was hesitant about applying, but I’m glad I did. The whole process of applying was so easy. The staff at the academy are fantastic. They are extremely friendly and welcoming. The whole place is very organised, the teacher was really organised and so lovely. She teaches the whole class in Korean. She was very sweet and makes the class enjoyable. She also took the time to make sure you understood if you were confused. It was just really smooth process overall. Very pleased, I’d love to return in the future and learn more!
Thank you for having me!

Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying Korean in Seoul. These homes are often between 25 - 50 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. You must check out 1 day after your classes end (usually a Saturday). Learn more about homestay housing
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 18+. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan. We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. The school is also not authorized to issue documents to support your visa application. If you need a visa, you have to apply for a visitor or tourist visa on your own.
Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Seoul based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
