Your studying partners will come from all over the world or if you take private class you will meet them around a free coffee during break time or during our monthly events. The classes are adapted to your level, your expectations and your schedule.
Within a 5-minute walk you can find 2 shopping malls, dance and yoga studios, a karate school, several gyms, bakeries, hair salons, and about a dozen of western restaurants, not to mention excellent Korean and Japanese food. Within a 15-minute walk, some of Qingdao’s most popular bars and clubs, the ocean (and lovely Marina City), and two movie theatres...
What does this mean? Exactly, Qingdao is the kind of city you want to study in, work in, live in, and at the same time spend your spare time relaxing at the ocean, strolling through the nature or spending time with your friends at one of the many meeting spots. The Easy access by bus, taxi and the newly metro allows you to explore all the peninsula has to offer: magnificent summers, lovable mountains, the coastline, low cost of living, beer and usually blue skies.
Very educative and self improving expirience I suggest everybody to try it.

Here I enjoy classes a lot. My teacher teaches me super professionally and passionately and class is still chill the same time. Today I can easily read pinyin, many basic characters, shop and ask for directions. I’ve got better at using the right tones, though it can still be struggling sometimes. The class contents are very flexible, for example at the beginning I didn’t want to learn any characters but focus on oral Chinese, which was perfectly fine with the teacher. Also I could tell preferences about my timetable.
I can wholeheartedly recommend XMandarin. Experienced kind teachers, nice classrooms right in downtown Qingdao, free coffee and water. They also helped me find an accommodation and launch a local bank account and phone contract. I was even given the opportunity to try out a group class of my level!! Eventually I stuck to the private class, which was not easy to decide, because I made good friends in the group class, who I often hang out with. The school sometimes invites us to cultural events like learning calligraphy or rock climbing.
Next year I must go back to Europe to finish my business studies. However, after that I want to carry on my language studies at XMandarin to reach at least HSK 4. Are you looking for Chinese schools in China? Don’t search no more, this one's the one :-7
I found two of the teachers I had absolutely first rate. One seemed a little new at the job and not so experienced but she was still very helpful and took a real interest in helping me. One teacher, however, seemed bored and disinterested. She didn't take much interest and couldn't respond well to my questions. I was upset about this class and felt that it wasted my time and money. However, the other three teachers I had were excellent, so overall, I'm very satisfied with the experience. I wish I had more time to attend because I think my language ability improved quite a lot. Text book materials were good. Class rooms and writing boards were good. The school is centrally located, but it happened to be far away from where I was living. So it was important for me to have good classes to justify more than two hours of travel to get there.

They have been really helpful in going over the basics of the mandarin language. Our teacher is really helpful and is an effective teacher who obviously knows how to effectively teach a class of newcomers to mandarin. The lessons are perfect for complete beginners like ourselves. However, I think that because we have such a short course, I think it would've have been more useful to focus on practical/ daily life essential vocabulary. Such as ordering food and recognizing common characters which are essential to daily life. I think that would allow students on short courses to see real and practical benefits of learning mandarin and give us more chances to use the vocabulary we learn in classes in our day to day lives in China.

You are not the first student to mention more practical vocabulary. It is necessary to tell us because if we don't know your goal we provide a basic Chinese class that does not focus on living in China only. I often say that to our students, we make the class around what you want to learn, do not hesitate to tell the teacher what you expect of this class :D
I have been attending XMandarin classes with the help of InternChina. We have received 8 hours of classes and so far I really enjoy the quality of teaching. The teacher always corrects you if you do a mistake, answers your questions, and lets everyone practice their pronunciation. However, I wish we could've received more hours and I think if the class would've been split in two smaller classes, that would've been wonderful as we could've got more interaction time.
Also, I think it would help a lot if the first few hours we would be learning basic phrases in Chinese and how to order food, find a toilet, top up your travel card etc. Although I enjoy learning from the basics, I think it would be more useful to teach people basic survival phrases in Chinese.
Overall though, I enjoy the lessons and if I could, I would stay longer. The teachers here are wonderful and provide high quality lessons.
Hello, thank you for your review! It is very thorough and gives us a very good idea on what we do well and what we can still improve, it's very important for us! I'm happy the teacher is a good listener and corrects you. I also know your group is the biggest we have and it would be very good to cut it in two...I also take note on what you would have liked to learn for your first lesson!! And of course, if you want more lessons don't hesitate to come send us a message or give us a talk to plan more courses ;)
I spent 6 month in this school, the environment is pretty, calm and you feel great. You can meet a lot of foreigners and have fun with the activities the school organize every month.
The staff here is amazing, always here to help you with anything.
The teachers are great, mine was more than a teacher she also became a great friend. I learned a lot about Chinese language and culture here at XMandarin but also a lot about myself.

The Chinese courses were very satisfying : very adapted to your level. The content is also very thorough.
The teachers are enthusiastic and motivated to help you to improve your Chinese during your stay. You can talk with them anytime you want.
I recommend Xmandarin.
The whole team and especially the teachers will be very happy about your feedback! Don't hesitate to share that experience with others, thank you very much for your message.
I am not a Chinese beginner, I learned Chinese in France and I really wanted to improve my Chinese by coming to China. I started at XMandarin with group class but I was worried the level would be lower than mine. It was not! We all had similar level and similar will to improve. My teacher totally understood our need of learning more daily vocabulary. We learned a lot and could apply it all to our daily life, making us more Chinese!! It really helped me better understand the conversation I was having with locals and exchange more.
After my experience of group class I wanted to continue learning there and took 1-to-1 class. Principle is the same except I have more flexibility about what I want to learn, how, I can ask more questions and I learn even faster!
I already found an apartment by myself so I didn't need their help but I know they can help you with that :D
I had no problem with the visa papers they sent me so it went all well!
Thank you so much for your message, we always try to adapt our class best and it is good to see that our students can feel it. Hope you will do go use of all of the Chinese you learnt here with us.
