General Preparatory Course, 1000 academic hours
The Universal preparatory course is a comprehensive program designed for foreign high school graduates aiming to enroll in state universities in the Czech Republic. This course is suitable for those who plan to apply for rare specialties or have not yet decided on their field of study by the time of arrival. The program follows a standard format in terms of the number of academic hours, and the choice of specialized subjects can be made upon arrival in the Czech Republic.
The course includes the necessary package of language and specialized preparation. It is designed for admission to both state and private universities in the Czech Republic. The course fee covers expenses related to the course, including intermediate and final exams, as well as essential study materials.

Requirements for registration for the Czech language course
Valid international passport
Completed Course Registration Form
Possession of a document confirming the participant’s previous level of education (certificate of secondary education, bachelor's degree or specialist's degree) (not later than August 31, 2024).
Academic Course Plan:
774 academic hours of Czech language.
100 academic hours of the first specialized subject.
100 academic hours of the second specialized subject.
26 academic hours of adaptation summer course.

Prague Language Institute offers two English and Czech one-year preparatory courses designed for the special needs of the student who want to enter Czech state universities and study for free in Czech or paid programs in English. We also offer English and Czech Summer Camp with native speakers.

We keep abreast with modern methods of teaching foreign languages, so our best education coordinators have elaborated a ground-breaking program envolving the use of modern technologies, in addition to the traditional «book and whiteboard» approach. In collaboration with the representatves of Apple Inc. in the Czech republic we brought to life the Apple Classroom for Czech language learners featuring vast collection of dictionaries, flash-cards vocabulary trainers, pronunciation drill apps, simple file-sharing app, use of the infinite educational possibilities of the Internet during the class.

The nationality and age mix at Prague Language Institute varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 21. In the summer, the average age is 14.

Prague Language Institute located in the heart of Prague at the very center. Nearby is Wenceslas square, main train station, National Museum, shops and restaurants. You can get to us by tram or by metro.
We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
