Learn Spanish in a communicative and systematic way
Our training plan is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The course programmes developed on this basis are then individually tailored for the particular course participants in question.
At each of our 6 levels (from A1 to C2), the five basic skills are taught and trained (oral and written understanding as well as oral and written expression). The grammar and vocabulary are then built up on this base. View Spanish levels.
We develop our programmes according to the following criteria:
•Our starting points are: your learning goals and the way you learn

•The use of modern technology, both online and in the media library stimulates self-study

- Courses for acquiring official certificates.
•.... and, of course, you have a wide range of options in the school and in the leisure programme to get to know Barcelona and its inhabitants in person and to try out your recently acquired knowledge of Spanish.

Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying Spanish in Barcelona. These homes are often between 5 - 25 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
It is possible to live in a rented apartment during your study in Barcelona, but this tends to be more expensive. Humboldt provides some assistance with apartment rentals or you can rent an apartment on your own. Learn more about apartment housing
