CES Wimbledon is located just outside the center of Wimbledon. Our school is in its own unique building with a beautiful patio garden in front of the school. We have 11 beautiful classrooms, a lovely common area, and a computer room and a self-access center. The school is a 10-minute walk from the Wimbledon train and tube stations and you can get into central London in less than 20 minutes by train.
Studying foreign languages abroad is always a great opportunity to improve language skills. Especially with high standard tuition, like I received it at CES London, it is a real pleasure.
CES London is a small and lovely school located in Wimbledon. For me, the size of Wimbledon was perfect since you could find shops for all kind of needs and in 30-60 minutes you're in the centre. Also, the school offered many fun activities like doing barbecues or going to the Tennis Championship. Personally, I didn't participate at many of the activities, simply because I prefered doing things wtih the new people I've met but in general they are a great way to get to know other people (and I really enjoyed the sports afternoons or pub evenings). Concerning the facilities I would've appreciated having bigger tables instead of the small ones atteched to the chairs, which we had in many of the class rooms.
The teachers at CES London are really nice and friendly. They are willing to focus on everybody in class and take pressure from the students motivating them to study for themselves and not for good grades. Having good teachers leads to a calm and relaxed atmosphere in class, which I really appreciated. Moreover I found the level of my C1 class appropriate.
Last but not least I really enjoyed my time at my homestay. My host family was an elderly woman who loved telling stories about all kind of things and made the best puddings for desert. She was nice and kind all the time and we've spent a great time together.
After all I would highly recommend this school to anybody willing to improve their language skills and make new friends. This stay in London really changed my life and I met many nice people from all over the world.
I arrived at home and the host family was really polite. The room was clean and big.
At school I met a lot of people from all the world and everyone was kind. All of us want to improve our English and we have improved it so much. The teachers were cultured and available to answer our questions and doubts.
There are some good places where you can have lunch before the afternoon classes.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in London. These homes are often between 15 - 45 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Learn more about homestay housing
Student residences are more suitable for an independent student, who is looking for clean, basic accommodation at an economic price. All students must be 18+. Your housing starts on the Sunday before your first day of class and ends on the Saturday after your last day of class, unless otherwise noted. Student residences often do not include any meal plan.
