Although we are not a typical 'Language School' we do succeed in improving the students' English building up on fluency and confidence during their stay. There is ample exposure to the language both during lessons and on visits and tours if chosen as well as our active social evening outings that occur three times per week for the 4 hour courses only. What is key to our teaching is exposure to language and attention to individuals needs in small groups. The quality of lessons and focus is important and we will always ensure that topics are relevant to the needs of the learners. All courses are short in duration ranging from 1 to 4 weeks. If you are wanting to improve your English outside the traditional teaching classroom in small groups then this will be an ideal option for you. Depending on which course you choose you will find one that suits. May be you prefer to choose a short course and explore St Andrews yourself or perhaps you would like to be in a group and explore places together with your Teacher. Learning English is best in context and we believe this is the best way to learn a foreign language. The location of the teaching base we use is in the heart of St Andrews and we use a variety of community buildings with a classroom, toilet facilities and tea and coffee facilities .We welcome students of all ages!
We do not offer any accommodation but can suggest a range of hotels, bed and breakfast establishments as well as guest houses. We normally have 3 get togethers in the evenings open to all students on the 4 hours courses only, visiting pubs, cafes and listening to music if possible or perhaps going to the cinema. Please note that this is not included in course so you must pay yourself!
So if you are looking to improve your English in the classroom and outside then this is the ideal way to do it!
Please note: we cannot assist with students requiring visas or assist in paperwork. We reserve the right to change teaching rooms if any become unavailable during the learning period but will always find a suitable alternative. We cannot cater for the needs of every student booking different courses at the same time as we have a small team so booking is based on 'first come, first served basis. However, we will endeavour to find you an alternative date for your chosen course. Best to check course availability by contacting us!
