Burlington School is a really amazing school with a lot of professional and nice teachers.
I have the feeling that I learned some grammatik, and get more confortable in my english.
I lived in the School Rooms with one flatmate.
I'd definitely recommend it to friends! Everything was perfect, the staff was amazing, the accommodation was also great!!

The classes were appropiated and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I didn't like a lot the food because it was too spicy but the chefs were very kind.
So, I had a good time.
It's realy international, I meet a lot of amazing poeple. The acomodation was realy good and teachers are incredible!

Show details » Read more...The teachers were nice but sadly the level even in the best course was too low and unchallenging. The rest was fine but the food
wasn't great. And I was confused because the rooms didn't have closets.
I was satisfied with the school. Nice teachers who helped with everything. Pleasant and friendly atmosphere. I learned a lot in class and laughed a lot at the same time.

Teachers in the school are really professionals, for instance Chris,Jason,Mark,Tom. Chefs of the coffee bar are also nice, I admire them. Food in the coffee bar was really tasty and there were wide choice of food. However, there was too much pork meat than other type of meat, not quite good for muslims) but it is still ok. I would love to tell one of the most good thing, it is location. School is located at the wildly convenient place, nearby station-balham and 3 zone

Show details » Read more...The classes were interesting and the teacher is kind. The location is good because we have some market nearby like sainsburry and mcdonalds so I was able to buy other things for me. I was there only for 3 weeks but i improve my english a little bit. For example, for the speaking i answer and talk faster than before and i more comfortable to speak in english and i was not afraid to do some mistakes. I attend three of the social program and they were interesting experience. I liked it. The housing was not bad but i would have liked it if we had a closet to put my clothes in the room. I was a bit surprise because i expected the room to be bigger. Breakfast were always the same so i had some difficulties with that. Other than that the staff were very good, nice and helpful.

Show details » Read more...The room was very nice...I Think they gave me a free upgrade :-). The classes were perfect and so were the teachers. I engage with plenty of Friends and despite 6 hours a day in class I was immersed15 hours a day in English (Partying, Studying, etc). In the end, in the last day I did the IELTS exam for the first time in my life and got a fair 5.5. I believe that studying a bit more and doing some exam prep I would do the 7.0 that I will need in 4 Years for my masters. I only did the exam to evaluate my English level in each spectrum.

- The entire school staff is top notch: kind, welcoming, understandable, helpful.
- The lessons were great and adapted according to your level of English. For my part, I had an incredible teacher. She was funny, she made her classes dynamic and interesting, it made you want to learn.
- The school is conveniently located about 30 minutes from London city center by tube.
The accommodation was very good and practical being in the school.
- My room was clean and decent but a little small for 2 people (not being in my room all the time, that was not a problem for me).
The facilities within the residence are pleasant: there are common areas such as large lounges, a sports corner and insulated rooms for studying.
- The common toilets and showers are adequate and clean. Only small negative point the practicality of the showers concerning privacy: the showers are arranged in the outbuildings for only separation a white shower curtain. To dry off, undress and get dressed we have very little space in the shower, we have to go and isolate ourselves in the toilets to get dressed or undressed.
The school offers various free or paid activities. I only made one which was free. She was very good, it allowed me to meet people.
This first experience was extraordinary. This stay was a real discovery in every way, whether in terms of meetings, the city, school, learning English, etc.
It was great . First time in UK. Fantastic teachers. I was amazed by the school building and its design.. Great surroundings. Excellent accommodation. I really had a time of my life. I absolutely want to go there again!

very creative. I really liked big ben and tower bridge. Rooms were good and beds weren't as bad as i thought.
The classes were perfectly divided and the teachers were all friendly and improved my English significantly.
The neighborhood around the school is a bit far from the center of the city, but it is a nice place to live.
The school building itself is a church, but the inside has been converted into a school with classrooms, a dining hall and bedrooms. There is also a room called "Common Room" which was the hotspot to hangout
for students after classes.
All in all everything was very clean and a very nice place to stay.
The bedrooms were a bit small but at the same time big enough to live in.
I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend for students of all levels!
The school location was very good and classes were very useful with good teachers. I really liked this experience and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn English.

Housing situation was mostly good except for the fact that the heater broke and it took two weeks to fix it. The social activities are lots of fun as well. Overall I had an amazing time and I would definitely recommend attending this school.

Show details » Read more...Unfortunately, my experience in The Burlington School of English was very disappointed, the classes don’t have connections, are isolated and don’t prepare for the IELTS test. The classes are very childish not what I expect being an adult. The teachers loose too much time look for materials during the classes, they are not preparing for the classes in advance. I just lost money, was a waist of time.

I had four classes - Elementary class, Listeting and speaking, Reading and writting and Grammar and vocab. The school changed location and the new school is very good. Every day had a social program. Everybody is friendly.

As for the teachers, they are kind, provide exciting topics and want to develop the knowledge of the students the more efficient way. I attended to C1 class and it could improve my speaking. It was the main aim why I went to the language school.
On the first day we wrote a grammar test, an essay and we had to speak with teacher so they assessed the Enlglish knowledge and put us into groups in a matrix system depending which skills are required to improve. Thanks to this I meet lot of students.
My classmates were also kind and good team, everybody wanted to improve so took part in excercises actively. And in addition we could talk to each other in the breaks and practise the speaking with them.
Location was also good because it is only a 10 minutes walk from Balham underground station which can be reached easily by Northern metro line from the city center. Balham station is 15-20 minutes from London Bridge metro station.
Facilities are also excellent because there is a canteen with delicious food at good price and there is a dining room which funcionated as a community/meeting room where the students can sit in the breaks and meet each other. Here the life was always busy because students were looking for each other's company.
I booked my accomodation on my own so it is not connected to the Burlington Language School.
The classes were are very interesting ,clear and easy for me.
My teachers were are very dynamic and helpful. They dedicated personally to each student.
The building was good, and later was nearer my host house so it was excellent for me.
The facilities in the first building were not so good, the tables ,chairs and bathroom were very old.
I was so happy to go out with my classmates and teachers to visit some places because, I could communicate with them.
At the beginning ours hostess was very nice, but we had a serius problem with her, because one day we arrived late for dinner because of the train. We called her to prevent her but, she called off.
We had to put with this situation because The Burlington School moved very near our Host House.
I liked the classes , my teachers,my classmates and the town.
I didn¨´t like the material , I think it was poor and insufficient.
The classes was good, teachers was overall good, location, facilities and housing was exelent. I didint use the activities.

I spent 3 weeks in this school, i had good time in the classroom and in the school's accommodation, but there was somethings wrong such us the cleaning in the accommodation in my opinion was insufficient, and the structure of the school is too old, and nowadays needs a renew, but in all is a great place because the teacher and the other personal were kind and available to everything i needed.
i will advice this school to my friend certainly.
Thank you for your feedback and review. We shall certainly look into the cleanliness of the residence. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
With regards to the old school. We are excited to announce that in September 2019 the school will be opening a brand new multi-million pound center.
We would love to welcome you back to our new school and residence.
It certainly will be an amazing school and we cant wait to show all our new and returning students.
Hope to see you again.
Everything was great. The teachers were very good. I had a wonderful time and will come back for sure!

Every teacher so kind, polite and artist. One thing which I don’t like in my school is old and uncomfortable building. But I heard that Burlington will have a new cool building for studying.

On my first day I was greeted by the governor of the residence, one can scare at first because I had a hard time understanding the language especially when there are accents that add up, but in the end he reassured me and explain how life in Burlington student residency works.
And to finish the courses I had with my teacher James was super useful and concrete because what I learned in class help me better to talk to other people outside of class (other students, a passer-by in the street) ..) Thanks to you for it's 2 weeks.
Ps: The bunk bed I had was not comfortable but the chef's dishes were really excellent.
Every thing was fine.
In my opinion, a revamp to the premises is needed.
I liked everything. The teachers were very professional, rather strict. It was not allowed to use the phone during the lessons, to be late and chat. They gave homework and were often tested. Every Friday gave feedback.
The school is located near the metro station Parson green (7 minutes walk) and the bus stop Radipole Road (3 minutes walk). Also close is the budget supermarket Tesco.
Wifi works at the school, there is a library where you can rent a book. And there is a rest zone for students, in which there are computers.
On Fridays we went to the nearest pub with the whole group, including the teacher. It was fun and informative to communicate in an informal atmosphere.
I do not recommend staying in a school residence, because the rooms were not cleaned, 4-6 people can live at the same time. Only 3 rooms: 1 for boys and 2 for girls. The bathrooms are separate, but there are more girls, so there are queues in the mornings and evenings. And of course, there are so many young students that the residence can be quite noisy.
Meals are available in the school canteen. Not very tasty, but edible.
In general, I am satisfied with the educational process at school and not particularly with living.
I had enjoyed learning English with my teacher, Gavin, very much. My homestay, where I stayed in, is very good and comfortable. The owners are very good because they always take care me :) I thought that school is located in good area because of many facilities around the location and easily accession.
