Course description

Dance and Technique Course

In our dance classes, we teach a sequence that can later be adapted to the rhythm, the guitar, and finally, the singing, also incorporating improvisation.

All flamenco styles are taught (seguirillas, soleá, soleá por bulerías, alegrías, etc.).

Our classes are focused on working on body placement, footwork, markings, and the correct execution of turns.

You should bear in mind that Flamenco is creative and personal, but understanding and reinforcing its fundamental concepts are very important.

Our courses start every Monday. It doesn't matter which week you decide to join because each week we work with different rhythms and styles.

On Mondays, we begin with a prior stretching/warm-up that helps our teachers assess the class level, which is crucial to decide the specific flamenco style that will be worked on during the week.

The most important thing is to know and understand flamenco through the body, paying attention to all its parts, gaining confidence in your body, and leaving shyness behind.

You will learn to listen to singing, guitar, and rhythm, understanding the dialogue of Flamenco, and thus having the necessary tools to dive into improvisation, which is essential in this art.

Due to the importance of correctly learning these aspects, anyone who has had previous contact with flamenco is offered the possibility of taking technique courses separately from dance courses.

Duration: 120 minutes daily from Monday to Friday. In the case of only one person, the class is 90 minutes.

Maximum of 7 people per course.

Starts every Monday.

All levels: beginners, beginners with some knowledge, intermediate, and advanced.

"Explosive, enlightening, invigorating, challenging all around amazing."

Johannes Jozef Harrewyn, student from USA

Taller Flamenco is a blessing to have and a privilege to be able to attend. Classes, teachers, location, facilities, activities were all tip top excellent. This was a life time experience for me. My 7 weeks close to 60 hours with guitar teacher "Maestro" Lito Espinosa was absolutely amazing, Lito committed to my new challenge of never having played a guitar of any sorts with patience, friendship and a lot of great humor. Cajon and Palmas classes with teacher "Maestro" Jose were fabulous fun and rhythmic. Team Taller Flamenco organized several outings "Feria" being one this was an explosive experience as well as local Flamenco shows and gatherings I am very grateful for all these experiences. Thank you Eukene and Jose-Carlos for all your hard work and for organizing these festive outings they added much joy to my experience. Seville is a city of culture, music, dance, smiles, not much rest and happiness.
