DURATION:
Full time study for a duration of 40 weeks
ENTRY CRITERIA:
Students must passed and completed a Degree in I.T or Computer Engineering or the Diploma in Computing Level 6 and have an IELTS of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5 or an equivalent score in a NZIE approved proficiency test.
The programme is perfect for I.T students who have already graduated in their country and are looking for a practical course that leads to a career in I.T.
This advanced diploma programme will take you through three areas of Network Engineering:
• Advanced Network Security
• Database Administration
• Network Routing and Switching
During this programme you’ll gain work experience and internship opportunities to help build your practical skills learnt in class.
International students who graduate from this programme will also be eligible for a one-year open work visa on completion.*

CORE SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN:
• Plan and build an advanced routing and switching environments.
• Develop and manage policies and processes for network security.
• Plan and build a data repositor.

The nationality and age mix at NZ Institute of Education varies over different time periods, courses and levels. Throughout the year, the average age is 25. In the summer, the average age is 25.
NZIE does not hold classes on the holiday dates below. The school does not compensate for these holidays, so make sure to choose your start date accordingly.
The NZIE Takapuna Beach Campus is conveniently located just a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Takapuna Beach, 2 minutes from Lake Pupuke and a 15 minute bus ride from Auckland’s Central City.
Our modern well-appointed building is next door to the Westfield Mall and very close to cafes, bars, sports clubs and the Takapuna library.
You’ll enjoy hanging out in the student lounge between classes, where you’ll have access to computers and free wireless internet access throughout the building.
The Botany Downs Campus is a new, purpose built school offering Business studies and English courses to both local and international students. The school is located in Botany Downs in Auckland’s Eastern suburbs, It’s situated above the Botany shopping centre so is just a short walk to cafes, restaurants and shops.
Due to popular demand from local and international students, the directors of NZIE will opened a purpose-built I.T & Business Campus in Manukau City.
Manukau City is New Zealand’s fastest growing city and is based in the South of Auckland and has exciting employment opportunities for graduates from our I.T & Business Programmes.
Homestays are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the local culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Auckland. These homes are often between 25 - 50 minutes away from the school by public transport. Families usually offer affordable meal plans that allow you to sample the local cuisine. If you have special requests or diet restrictions (because of religion or health reasons), please let us know in advance. You must check out 1 day after your classes end (usually a Saturday). We cannot apply for visas on behalf of students. However, the school can supply you with all the documentation you need to support your visa application.
Your letter of acceptance will be sent to your home address by regular mail at no charge to you.
Please note that we do not book flights for our students. If you are researching airfare costs, we recommend using Kayak.com, a search engine that lets you compare flight options from your home country to Auckland based on your budget, schedule and preferences.
